Unlike other commercial blends where as many as 30 different black teas can be used in the blend; ours depends on just two luxury, high-quality, single-estate black tea leaves: Assam and Ceylon.
We have carefully selected our tea leaves specifically for this blend and think that the quality of using just two ingredients speaks for itself on tasting. Simple, smooth, classic and yet full-bodied and aromatic, this blend is perfect for your morning cup!
In addition to organic versions of our hugely popular signature blends, we have introduced luxury-quality organic versions of our most popular single estate black teas: Organic Assam Superior, Organic Ceylon Imperial, Organic Keemun and Organic Yunnan Imperial. Each of these teas has been selected for sensational flavours cultivated and farmed using responsible organic processes.
Sourced from the Jalinga estate in Assam, India; the largest all-organic tea estate in India. These tea leaves have been carefully selected for their fresh, spicy, malty character with a slightly sweet finish as an exemplary example of the finest that Assam teas have to offer.
Assam teas are most famously enjoyed as breakfast teas and this tea is no exception, but it has a light finish and honey character which lends itself to being a perfect refresher at any time of day.
This exclusive black tea is sourced from the Idulgashinna estate in the Uva region in South-Central Sri Lanka. Accredited in 1987 as the world’s first official organic tea garden, Idulgashinna sets the benchmark for organic tea. Given certified levels of purity within the surrounding soils, this tea is a connoisseur’s favourite and is embraced by discerning drinkers the world over. These organic tea leaves have been carefully selected for their complex, aromatic and balanced character.
This very special black tea is only produced in Qimen County, Anhui province, China and is one of the earliest black teas introduced since modern black tea processing methods were introduced to China. This single-estate leaf boasts robust Keemun flavours; distinctly full-bodied and spicy with notes reminiscent of turmeric; complex maltiness whilst remaining both smooth and refreshing.
Yunnan from China is amongst the oldest teas in the world with it being one of, if not the first, area in the world known to cultivate the tea tree into tea plants and use the resulting leaves to make tea. This long history makes Yunnan one of the most sought-after and varied black teas available. We have selected extremely high-quality leaves with a distinct pepper-spice, complex maltiness and the slightest of floral aromatics that result in a floral, almost rosy finish.
