Our Japanese Sencha is grown on the southern island of Kyushu where conditions are perfect for growing tea. It differs to Chinese Sencha as the leaves are steamed rather than pan-fired giving a tea, packed with antioxidants and a deliciously light, smooth, slightly astringent taste.
Place one to two teaspoons per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Allow the water to cool after boiling ideally 70-80° Celsius and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.
